A Slightly Different Blog

Category: Web Design

Web design should encompass the entire user experience. That should be the primary focus. The site should be easy to use and build trust. Design should not just be focused on the aesthetics of the site. The fastest and easiest way to build trust with a site is to design it to load quickly. Focus should be on whether the site is easy to use on a mobile device and whether the site is clear and easy to use. Design should be focused on whether the site is useful and meets the goals of the business. Web design should be focused on whether visitors can find what they need in a timely manner.

We focus more on the practical side of the design at this blog. We focus on things that do not necessarily bring a visual representation to design. Design should focus on whether the Core Web Vitals are present. Design should focus on whether mobile users and other visitors are actually having a positive experience. Site design should focus on whether everyone can use the site. Design should be focused on whether a mobile-first design should incorporate a site that is one long page. Design should focus on the business goals rather than what is in vogue.

We invest time in all those close-up details, however seemingly insignificant. For example, popups that are more annoying than converting, homepages that bury their call to action, or that require cumbersome four-step taps for trivial page access on mobile menus. Taking the time to address such small details is the difference between websites that are unconventionally effective and attractive ones that look great but don’t fulfill a purpose.

We analyze the things that work (and don’t) for small businesses websites, then share what we found. That is our goal whether you are just starting a new website, are redesigning, or even looking to improve an almost complete website.
